What is the Crank House RSS Reader?

This is the Crank House RSS Reader application, which I made it while learning Java and XML. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and provides a way to easily share/syndicate information. Most news sites and blogs provide users with a link to an rss feed, as a way to let applications pull information from them. If you want to read more about RSS, I suggest the The Wikipedia RSS page.

I read a bunch of nerdy news sites and blogs, and instead of browsing to each one, I add their RSS feed to my list of feeds. That way I can just come to the Crank House RSS Reader and browse the head lines from all of my news sites, with out going all over the web. If I find a story I want to read, each headline has a "Read More" link that will send me to the article. When I come across a blog or site I like, I will look for the RSS icon, and add the url to my list of feeds in the Crank House RSS Reader's Add Feed page.

The headlines an articles from the RSS feeds are updates as often as the feed is changed. Typically feeds for most sites are updated as soon as the site is. That means you're looking at the same information as the home page has.
